Fujian University of Technology

In the interest of promoting the scheme ‘Study in China’ held by the Ministry of Education, as well as attracting international students, FJUJ is to establish its own scholarship scheme. Details are as follows:

I. Eligibility

Applicants shall meet the entry requirements of international undergraduate students.

II. Categories of Scholarship

1. FJUT Full Scholarship for Undergraduates, takes up 5% of the total international student number of the year.

2. FJUT Partial Scholarship for Undergraduates, takes up 10% of the total international student number of the year.

3. FJUT President’s Scholarship for Undergraduates, takes up 25% of the total international student number of the year.

III. Details of Scholarship

a. FJUT Full Scholarship for Undergraduates

o Student will get exemption from tuition, registration fee, experiment fee, textbooks fees and on-campus accommodation fee. If experiment or internship outside teaching plan are required, all cost shall be covered by students themselves; textbooks for compulsory units will be provided however other expenses shall be covered by students.

Living allowance, which is ￥12，000 per person per year.

An one-off settlement subsidy will be given for new students, which is ￥1,500 per person.

Comprehensive Medical Insurance will be purchased by FJUT, which mainly covers the expenses for in-hospital treatment and personal accident.

International travel expenses will be paid by the students unless there’s other agreement.

b. FJUT Partial Scholarship for Undergraduates

Students will receive exemption from tuition, registration fee, experiment fee, textbooks fees and on-campus accommodation.

c. FJUT President’s Scholarship for Undergraduates

For students who get “Excellent” in the annual review, a ￥5，000 RMB yuan scholarship will be awarded by the President.

IV. Duration of Study

4.1 Students who has been awarded a scholarship need to conduct their study in Chinese or English. If a student choose Chinese in his study but his/her Chinese fail to meet the entry requirement, he/she shall complete one-year Chinese language class and pass the test before proceeding.

4.2 Usually the duration of undergraduates study is 4-5 years(depend on different programs).The duration of scholarship will be decided by the duration of different program(which will not be extend in general).

Note: Students who receive Chinese Government Scholarship or other subsidies shall not be eligible to apply scholarship from FJUT).
